What Is a Breast Lift?
A breast lift, also called “mastopexy,” is a procedure in which the breasts are lifted by removing excess
skin, then tightening, lifting, and reshaping the breasts. It is an excellent option for women who are
satisfied with the size of their breasts but want a more youthful, “uplifted” profile. It is usually
undertaken when loss of skin elasticity has caused the breasts to lose their shape and firmness.
It may be done along with breast augmentation surgery or breast reduction surgery to position newly
contoured breasts.
