Are There Different Types of Neck Lifts?

• Cervicoplasty. Recommended for overweight patients, this procedure involves a small incision under the chin to tighten the underlying muscles. Excess skin and fat will also be removed.
• Submentoplasty. If you are at your proper weight and only a moderate amount of loose skin. An incision is made in the curve of the neck and the muscles underneath are tightened. This is the shortest procedure of these three and usually takes less than an hour.
